Jackson Bay Sesquicentennial – Plaque Unveiling
Arawata Cemetery 4382 Haast-Jackson Bay Road, Haast, Jackson BayJoin us to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the settlement of Jackson Bay with an unveiling of a new plaque at the Arawata Cemetery. The plaque has confirmed names and information of people buried within. We then progress to Jackson Bay and meet at the DOC kiosk to reveal the information panel offer 300 names from the firmt ship load of settlers in January 18th, 1875, followed by the new plaque unveiling at Jackson Bay foreshore.
