Held in January each year at Hokitika beach, participants are invited to express themselves using beach-finds. Budding artists work side by side with professionals turning driftwood and other materials they find on the beach into sculptural pieces. All you need to bring is some imagination. The Lake Kaniere Scenic Triathlon, in its 39th year includes a kayak triathlon, swim triathlon, long distance swim, duathlon, run, walk, junior swim triathlon and a junior duathlon.
